On Thursday 7th February 2019 there will be a visit to Mandurah. In the morning we will be guests at the Mandurah City Council where we will hear about the many engineering projects that have been recently completed in the City or are in the planning stage. These include the waterfront projects, sea wall and dredging and the new bridge over the estuary. In the afternoon we will have the opportunity to see some of the projects.
Lunch will be at Cicerellos restaurant adjacent to the Council premises. It will be a three-course lunch with soup, fish and chips and cole slaw, a slice of cake and tea or coffee.
Coach Travel: We will be travelling by coach and as usual the coach will stop at both Perth and Burswood to pick up participants.
Wellington Street Perth Pickup Point – Departure 8.45am: The coach will stop at the Tourist Coach stop on the north side of Wellington Street immediately on the east side (i.e. the Perth Railway Station side) of the Horseshoe Bridge.
Burswood Pickup Point – Departure 9.00am: The Coach will be leaving from the same car park that we have used for the last few years. The car park is immediately north of the roundabout at the intersection of Resort Drive and Camfield Drive. The entrance to the car park is off Camfield Drive about 130 metres north of the roundabout. Google maps shows the new roundabout and the car park on the Casino side of Camfield Drive.
We anticipate the coach will be back in Perth by about 4.00pm
The cost for the day including coach travel and lunch is $45 per person for Engineers Australia members and their partners. The cost for non-members of Engineers Australia and their partners is $75 per person.
Join us on Thursday 7th February 2019 and see and hear about some of the engineering in Mandurah. And of course, enjoy morning tea, lunch and the good company of your engineering friends and their partners.
