Fletcher International Abatoir - Plate Freezer Expansion Register

Fletcher International run a major export facility in Narrikup, in WA's great southern. In 2018, they embarked upon a project to upgrade their processing abilities, and increase capacity. This has involved the construction of a major new plate freezer, the second of its kind in Australia, with a fully intergrated conveyor system. Also included are new blast freezer buildings, plant rooms, refrigerant storage, and associated buliding upgrades.

GHD has provided architectural, structural engineering and fire water design services to expedite this project. This involved significant collaboration with site operations and equipment vendors to ensure a functional design and limited disruption to the plant's operation. As the project nears completion, we invite you come and look around.

Guest Speaker:

Peter Gill oversees all Fletcher operations in WA. He was the man with the vision to make this project happen.

Bec Barton has over 20 years' structural design and engineering experience, in buildings, communications and power transmission. Since joining the GHD team last year, she has been in charge of the design, construction support and inspections for this project.

Jeff Foley is the Manager of GHD's business in regional WA, including offices in Albany, Bunbury, Geraldton and Karratha. He is also a Technical Director with 18 years' experience in the areas of water engineering, business management, project management, and stakeholder consultation.
