An Engineering Education Australia training course:

The ability to influence others is particularly critical in project and program manager roles where collaboration among a wide variety of stakeholders is critical to deliver the right outcome despite competing agendas and misaligned interests.

This one-day workshop is based on research-based frameworks and tools that help engineering leaders achieve outcomes in new ways and in situations where they have no formal authority. The workshop empowers Engineering and Project Managers to experiment with contemporary communication strategies for greater influence such as the 4-MAT Model, and 5 Principles of Persuasion.

Upon completion, this course will give you tools to effectively influence in a variety of situations with many relevant stakeholders including clients, partners, regulators, staff and internal colleagues.

Who should attend?

This workshop is ideal for:

  • Engineering leaders responsible for delivering programs and projects
  • Managers who want to deliver in situations where they do not have formal authority
  • Prospective engineering leaders / project managers seeking a reliable, tools-based approach to influencing others
