Transitioning from Manager to Leader QLD August 2019 Register

Get 15% off your next EEA training course - exclusive benefit for Engineers Australia members.

An Engineering Education Australia training course:

Managerial skills are learned and developed throughout your career. However, technical experts in every industry often rise to leadership without having had the time or opportunity to develop the full range of skills demanded of them.

This one-day workshop explores practical leadership techniques and how the characteristics of a leader differs from those of a manager. It enables managers to immediately begin applying the skills of a leader.

Upon completion, you’ll move from being a 'busy' manager to a purposeful leader. You’ll be able to provide clarity when setting expectations with your team and confidently mentor them (individually and collectively) by understanding the best ways to tackle underperformance. You’ll also be provided with techniques to delegate tasks while ensuring your team feel empowered.

Who should attend?

This workshop is for you if you’re a manager preparing for a promotion or transitioning into a leadership position. It will also be useful for managers who have never been provided with the support or guidance to fully develop their leadership skills.
