Nigel Cro
Managing Director, Con-form Group

Biography

Nigel Cro has been involved in engineering and manufacturing within the commercial and industrial construction industry for more than 20 years. He has a passion for innovation and problem-solving and when he became involved with height safety and HVAC&R (heating-ventilation-air conditioning & refrigeration) he discovered an opportunity to apply modern thinking and re-invent equipment used in these sectors. Nigel utilised the in-house resources of his company, Con-form Group, (including R&D, CAD design, engineering and a Manufacturing Centre of Excellence) to pioneer breakthrough products for mounting plant machinery on a variety of roof types and for minimising equipment noise. These cost-efficient, lightweight and modular systems were a game changer and helped to propel Con-form Group into the role of market leader where it has remained for well over a decade. The rooftop systems are custom designed and produced at their Bathurst-based facility. Nigel's influence on the HVAC&R industry led to him being recognised as a key consultant to developers, architects, specifiers and engineers. Under his leadership, Con-form Group has become the preferred supplier to the nation's biggest projects including data centres and all leading supermarket chains. A dynamic and visionary leader, Nigel continues to develop new and better ways to improve the HVAC&R marketplace. Con-form Group is an Australian family owned and operated business.
