Young Engineers WA Summit Register

Engage, learn and collaborate

The Young Engineers Summit is an interactive, collaborative half-day event featuring companies in Perth who design, produce and market engineering solutions to international audiences. The Summit incorporates group sessions where attendees will generate solutions to real-world challenges, and present their findings to the audience.

Network with engineering leaders

The final session of the Summit is open to senior engineers to hear our keynote speaker and help us celebrate our newest Fellows and EngExec members. The night culminates with a networking sundowner to give our young engineers exclusive access to more experienced engineers and provide for lively discussion!

Keynote speaker: Josh Richards

Physicist, Explosives Engineer, Soldier, Comedian, Astronaut Candidate. Josh’s career has seen him picking up booby traps with the Australian Army, slogging through mud with British Commandos, and being science adviser to the richest artist in the world.

Currently one of 100 astronaut candidates short-listed for the one-way ‘Mars One’ mission in 2031, Josh has also authored ‘Becoming Martian’, a humourous look at how colonising Mars will change our species in body, mind and soul.

Moderator: Suzanne Brown

Suzanne has over 25 years’ experience in water related engineering and has held roles in academia, consulting and government. She has worked at the Water Corporation of WA in planning, contract management, project management and was the Corporation’s Environment and Aboriginal Affairs manager for 9 years. She is currently in the newly created role of manager, Drainage and Liveable Communities.
