SA Division Committee 2019 Friday, 21 September 2018

Do you know who is on your Division Committee? Who volunteers time to do what they can to contribute to the strategic plan of EA, and to advance the science and practice of engineering for the benefit of the community?

Only a couple of months ago, Engineers Australia called for nominations to Division Committees for 2019 and 2020. For South Australia, this call was for five committee members. Nominations are provided to an independent body who manage the elections, and nominees are reviewed for eligibility.

In SA’s case, four eligible nominations were received. Because the number received was less than or equal to the number called for, the General Regulations of EA deem those four elected for a period of two years (there is no requirement for an actual election under these circumstances). We are pleased to introduce you to the elected nominees who will join the SA Division Committee for 2019 and 2020.

Dominic Burnet GradIEAust

Dominic’s interest in the Division Committee stems from his desire to support the community. He co-founded the Adelaide University Mechanical Engineering Student Society, and was elected President in 2017. Dominic’s highlight was the initiation of events that brought the student community closer to Professional Engineers.
